Topped by a green dome and dominating the Old Town panorama, St. Nicholas Church is an impossible-to-overlook Baroque church of exceeding beauty. This masterpiece is the work of three architects: Kryštof and Kilián Ignác Dietzenhofer and Anselmo Lurago (1703-1756). Inside you will be struck by the spectacular ornamentation throughout, most notably Jan Lukáš Kracker’s magnificent ceiling frescoes depicting the life of St. Nicholas. Spanning a space of 1500m², they are among the largest in Europe. In addition, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart played and composed upon the very organ that remains in this church to this day.
